Have you ever wondered why Islam seems so different to other religions?
What is Islam?
Most people think that Islam is simply another religion with a few problem followers. If it were then we would have no problem accepting it.
Unfortunately Islam is far more than this. Whilst it contains a religious component, it also embodies a political system. This system is brutal and totalitarian. It is also aggressively expansionist.
It was developed in the 7th century in Arabia by a warlord called Mohammed ibn Abdullah (The Prophet Mohammed). This political system, and the legal system it enshrines (Sharia), are based upon the life of Mohammed. In order to understand Islam, it is therefore necessary to understand his story.
The easiest way to understand this story is through a book called The Story of Mohammed by Harry Richardson. This can be read for free online or ordered in paperback or Kindle versions HERE.
A few points you may not know about Islam:
Islam means “submission” to Allah and his law; it does not mean "peace".
Islam seeks to turn the whole world into a society ruled by Sharia Law and based on Mohammed’s Arab world of 632 AD.
Islam rejects Western democracy as rule by men and not by Allah.
Islam divides the world into believers who submit to Islam and non-believers who must eventually be made to submit.
Islam's idea of "peace" is only when the whole world, including the non-Muslim people of Australia, have submitted to Islam.
There are two main divisions of Islam: Sunni and Shia.
